Chapter Engineering Scholarship Award Program

John D. Steele, P.E., President of the Capital District Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, announces the availability of scholarships to young people pursuing engineering as a career. The Chapter is offering awards of $1000 to $3000 to students who attend an ABET-accredited college or university engineering program. Program Schedule
 
The Application process will begin in March with notification to School Guidance Departments.  Applications must be postmarked on or before April 16, 2012.  Results will be announced before the end of May.

The scholarship award program is funded in part by proceeds from the Chapter Annual Golf Outing, which will take place in September, from donations to the Foundation for Engineering Education, and direct individual and corporate donations to the Chapter Scholarship Award Fund.
