The
Capital District Chapter of the New York State Society
of Professional Engineers (CDCNYSSPE) grants awards
of $1000 to $3000 each year to graduating High School
students in the Capital District who pursue an
ABET-accredited engineering education. The award is
based on academic achievement, participation in
scholastic programs, extra-curricular activities and
work experience.
The Chapter Engineering Scholarship Award program
is funded by fundraising events and
contributions. The primary fundraising event is a raffle
at the Annual Chapter Golf Outing in September.
Individual and corporate contributions are welcomed.
Contributors will be recognized in the Chapter
Newsletter, at the award ceremony, and on this web site.
Contributions can be made to “CDCNYSSPE Annual
Engineering Scholarship Award Program”.

year at the beginning of October by mail to area High
School Guidance Departments. The instructions and forms

The Capital District Chapter Scholarship Award winners
have reported their choices for undergraduate academics,
and we are pleased to report that all three have
selected ABET accredited engineering programs. |

Joshua Multunas from Columbia High School,
Benjamin Alston from Albany Academy and Tammy Chow from
Scotia-Glenville High School. We extend our
congratulations to the three. |

The scholarship award program is funded in part by
proceeds from the
Chapter Annual Golf Outing, which will take place in
September, from donations to the Foundation for
Engineering Education, and direct individual and
corporate donations to the Chapter Scholarship Award
Fund. The Scholarship Award program will begin accepting
applications again in the Fall of 2005. |
