Scholarship Program Information

GET APPLICATION

Angelo L. Santabarbara, P.E., President of the Capital District Chapter of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, announces the availability of scholarships to young people pursuing engineering as a career.  The Chapter is offering awards of $1000 to $3000 to selected students who attend an ABET-accredited college or university engineering program.  Additional information and scholarship applications may be obtained from the school guidance office or by contacting Paul Adel at padel@spectraenv.com.  Applications for the Chapter Award must be submitted by April 9, 2010.

Application instructions and forms are distributed each year at the beginning of October by mail to area High School Guidance Departments. The instructions and forms will also be posted here.

News (Current Winners)
 
The Capital District Chapter Scholarship Award winners have reported their choices for undergraduate academics, and we are pleased to report that all three have selected ABET accredited engineering programs.
 
The scholarship award program is funded in part by proceeds from the Chapter Annual Golf Outing, which will take place in September, from donations to the Foundation for Engineering Education, and direct individual and corporate donations to the Chapter Scholarship Award Fund. The Scholarship Award program will begin accepting applications again in the Fall of 2005.
